Description: “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”! Take a cue from modern American poets featured in the book The Spoken Word Revolution. Your own copy of the book is recommend, but not required. This class will cover a little bit of modern poetic history, a lot of writing rhythms, and, as desired by the class, spoken word performance techniques.
