Biography

Katie Truemner has studied in illustration, painting and furniture design at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After receiving her BFA in illustration, furniture design is what moved her to the furniture capitol of the world, High Point, North Carolina. Here Katie worked for an independent design firm along with dabbling in art mass reproduction. Square One by Sandra Espinet in San Jose del Cabo, a high end interior design firm, recently signed Katie as their newest addition to the design team. This allowed her to reside in Peoria, IL and run her freelance business.

Recent accomplishments:

- Featured internationally in the art mass reproduction market from companies like I.O. Metro, Target.com, Art.com, and Ashley Furniture
- Artwork featured at Lippmann’s Furniture and Interiors in Peoria, IL 2008-2009.
- International furniture and other home décor’ designs will launch in a home couture line by Sandra Espinet this year.

Statement about work:

Katie Truemner produces original works of art that inspired both by the beauty of mother nature and the latest trends in fashion. Her loose designs, articulate detail, and attention to color compliments well with today’s trends.
