ERIC AND NIKOLE COONEY Digital photography, acrylic, clay, hydrocal, steel, found objects. 309-346-3256 The art you are viewing today is a compilation of work produced by a husband and wife team. Their work includes paintings, press molds, digital photography and various sculptures, including functional art. Both feel it is important to focus on the concepts behind the work as well as the aesthetics. Eric's photography style is "industrial abstract." Both have had solo and group showings of their work. Nikole did her apprenticeship under Preston Jackson and attended the Art institute of Chicago. A strong belief in God and His working power are very real influences for this couple who also believe that the experiences of life make the best subjects for their art. |
